U21
In the first round of the ‘B’ hurling championship, we are at home to Burgess this Sunday, 20th October, at 12.00pm. This will be one of the youngest U21 sides that the club has ever fielded so support will be vital in MacDonagh Park on Sunday.
Minor
In the ‘A’ football semi-final, we recorded a 0-9 to 1-5 home victory over Ballina. The visitors led 1-5 to 0-5 at the break, with their goal coming in the 23rd minute. However, MacDonaghs kicked four unanswered second-half points to clinch a final place by the minimum of margins.

Lory Meagher Player of the Year
Congratulations to Cian Darcy, who has been named the Lory Meagher Player of the Year. He had an outstanding debut season in the Longford colours scoring 3-67 during the campaign, including 0-13 in the final. Cian was selected corner-forward on the Christy Ring/Nicky Rackard/Lory Meagher team of the year.
Hurling/Shinty International
Best wishes to Cian Darcy, who has been selected on the Irish team to play Scotland in the Hurling/Shinty International on Saturday, 26th October, in Cusack Park, Ennis.
